How does unlimited Depot Repairs for Smartphone work?
When you purchase a Smartphone protection plan with Securranty, you have the option to receive Unlimited Claims coverage for any malfunction or accidental damage. However, every time you file a claim, you must select Depot Repair as the service option to enjoy the unlimited claim benefits.
Does Securranty cover New, Used and/or Refurbished phones?
New or Refurbished phones with a store warranty from any store, online retailer, eBay or Amazon which comes with at least a 90-day warranty.
How does unlimited Depot Repairs for iPads work?
When you purchase an iPad protection plan with Securranty, you have the option to receive Unlimited Claims coverage for any malfunction or accidental damage. However, every time you file a claim, you must select Depot Repair as the service option to enjoy the unlimited claim benefits. Securranty covers all iPad models such as iPad Pro, iPad Air, and other iPad generation models.
What is required to purchase an iPad protection plan from Securranty?
The only iPad purchased in the past 30 days are eligible. You will need to provide the store receipt for the purchase of the iPad. You can upload the receipt to your account online after completing the purchase and we will store it for you.
Does Securranty provide coverage for New, Used and/or Refurbished iPads?
New or Refurbished iPads with a store warranty from any store, online retailer, eBay or Amazon which comes with at least a 90-day warranty are eligible.
Is it worth to purchase a laptop protection plan for malfunction & accidental damage?
The cost of the protection plan plus a small deductible for 1 claim alone can save you $100’s of the dollar. The laptops are becoming thinner and thinner and they are harder and less likely to be repaired due to a serious drop or liquid spill. Can you afford to pay full price for another laptop?
What is required to purchase a Chromebook, MacBook and/or Laptop protection plan from Securranty?
Only Chrome book, MacBook and laptops purchased in the past 30 days are eligible. You will need to provide the store receipt for the purchase of the iPhone. You can upload the receipt to your account online after completing the purchase and we will store it for you.
Can I transfer my laptop Plan?
You may transfer your plan at any time to another person.
Does Securranty cover New, Used and/or Refurbished Laptops?
Coverage is available for new laptops purchased in the last 30 days. Refurbished laptops purchased in the last 30 days are eligible if they come with a minimum 90-day warranty.
Will my laptop be covered if it is lost or stolen?
If your laptop is lost or stolen, it is not covered under this plan.

Why should I purchase a Smart phone Protection plan when it is cheaper to purchase a protective case?
100% protection from accidental damage is not provided by any protective case. Most cases don’t protect against spill or liquid submersion. Waterproof cases don’t offer 100% protection from malfunctions. If you have to replace your phone even once, the cost is $849 versus the cost of a deductible is only $99.
What is required to purchase a Smartphone Phone protection plan from Securranty?
Only phones purchased in the past 30 days are eligible. You will need to provide the store receipt for the purchase of the Phone. You can upload the receipt to your account online after completing the purchase and we will store it for you.
Why should I purchase an iPad Protection Plan when it is cheaper to purchase a protective case?

Waterproof cases don’t offer 100% protection from malfunctions. If you have to replace your iPad even once, you will pay full price versus the cost of a deductible is only $69.

Do I need a proof of purchase or receipt for my school issued device in order to purchase coverage?
If the device has been issued to you by your school, you don't have to provide proof of purchase/store receipt to purchase a plan or file a claim. However, you may be required to provide proof of device Model, Serial # and date device was issued to you by your school.
What is the difference between a manufacturers Chromebook Warranty versus a Securranty Chromebook Protection Plan?
Securranty Chromebook insurance covers all Chromebook models; such as your, HP Chromebook, Samsung Chromebook, Acer Chromebook, Lenovo Chromebook, and Asus Chromebook. Our protection plan does not replace the manufacturer’s warranty, but provides certain additional benefits during the term of the manufacturer’s warranty. First, we'll locate the manufacturer's contact information to help you file a claim. If the manufacturer replaces or repairs your chromebook, we'll cover the repaired or replaced item. If the manufacturer refuses to honor their Chromebook warranty because they consider your item purchased from an unauthorized retailer, we'll still cover you.
What does a Chromebook warranty cover?
A Chromebook Extended Warranty covers all electrical and mechanical failures that occur during normal, everyday use of your item. We cover your item for up to the full purchase price (excluding tax and shipping). Some examples of covered issues include a blank screen, hard drive failure, manufacturer defects, or other issues that are not a result of accidental damage, misuse or abuse. We provide Chromebook protection plans for all manufacturers; including, HP Chromebooks, Samsung Chromebooks, Acer Chromebooks, Lenovo Chromebooks, and Asus Chromebooks.
Where can I purchase a Securranty warranty?
You may buy our warranty online or through one of our authorized partners or resellers.
If I purchased a an item as a gift, can I purchase the a protection plan as a gift for it?
Yes, simply purchase the protection plan for the item and log into your account to transfer the plan to the recipient of the gift.

Filing a Claim - Claims Process

How does the in-home service work for large exercise equipment?
We assign your claim the same day it is approved to a certified, licensed & bonded technician from our nationwide network of service providers. The service provider will contact you in most cases same day to schedule an appointment based on your availability for repair. All large exercise equipment pieces, major appliances & Televisions 37” or larger are eligible for in-home service.
How do I file a claim?
Log into your account and navigate to the Policies tile on your dashboard. Select the File A Claim option next to your policy.
Will my replacement Smart Phone or Tablet be of the same color as my original device?
We make best efforts to provide replacement phone and tablets of same color, but are unable to guarantee color of device replacement. However, we do provide replacement that match Brand, Model and GB.
How do I pay my deductible?
When you file a claim, if a deductible is applicable, you will be prompted to pay the applicable deductible with a credit card. However, your credit card is only charged if your claim is approved.
How do I remove my Apple ID from my device or Turn off Find My Phone?
If you are not in possession off your phone or are unable to access your device, for instructions, please click https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201441. If you are in possession of your device, go to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone, then tap to turn off Find My iPhone.
What documentation do I need to file a claim?
Proof of purchase , store receipt for purchase of your item, is typically required to purchase our plans and to file a claim.

Does Securranty provide worldwide coverage?
Yes, you are covered for loss even when you are travelling internationally. We do not cover international shipping, however, once you file a claim, you may be authorized to have your item repaired locally and submit an invoice for reimbursement. You may also choose to have your item repaired upon return.
Does Securranty use OEM parts during repair?
We make best efforts to use OEM parts when available. However, when we use Non-OEM parts, we do ensure that the item is repaired to OEM standard and quality. We stand behind the quality of work performed by our certified technicians and parts used for the life of your plan or 90 days, whichever is longer.
What is considered an “improper modification?”
When an item is altered or modified from its original condition including alteration or modification of serial numbers, software that roots modifies the original manufacturer's installed operating system which voids the manufacturer's warranty.
